Friday Fossicking

A great pair of tole lights but they do need a fair bit of work!!

There is a pair of these French Gilt armchairs which I found for some clients. We are going to cover them in a pale blue and white narrow stripe fabric for their lounge room.

I love gate leg tables and this little oval one is so sweet! I don't have a job to put this one into but I do love it!!

I love this mirror which I purchased. I am going to get it painted and I plan to use it in a powder room.

I thought this screen was amazing. I don't have anywhere to use this piece either but it's a cracker!!

I've been out fossicking around today for Antique/vintage pieces for clients. I've had a wonderful time!! Unfortunately I don't have any Friday Flowers to share with you today as I didn't get to my flower lady before she closed. Instead I'll leave you with a few finds from today's hunt. Oh and I'm glad to report that I am over my travel bug {for now anyway}!! Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to posting lots of wonderful things next week!

I LOVE the mirror! Isn't amazing what a coat of paint does to transform an older piece? I love hunting down fun pieces and transforming them into something new. It makes upcycling so much fun!

I've never heard of fossicking! What's the origin of the word? It's a good one.

That mirror is beautiful! I have been on the search for some great mirrors to paint white. I want to do a grouping in my bedroom above my dresser. Great post!

Lots of fun searching out those sort of pieces!

Anna - I seem to miss some of your posts. I see them on my Blogger List, but not on your page, for example, "Black and Spiro Today" (with a white chair in the picture). It appears on my list between "Dreamy Bedroom" and "Dreaming of far away places", but I can't view it on your page. I have had this problem with a few posts on your site. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? I love your shop displays and hate being teased! lol
All the best for the weekend,
Romana

Hey Anna, would love to see how the french chair looks when "recovered". I just sold my gate table which I've had for years - sort of regretted it when I saw it leaving the gallery - you do become attached to these lovely items. I'll think twice next time!

Oh that chair WILL look lovely in a blue and white stripe. Please show us pictures when it is done.

That gate leg table is adorable. I have a rectangular one in my online shop that is black and quite large which is lovely for seating several people. They are so wonderful to tuck against a wall when not in use. I don't know why we don't see more of them in design.

Hi Anna, these are really gorgeous finds! I bet the chair will have a total make over after you work on it :) I love the screen, yet I agree it needs to fit and it is not easy to find a place for it... The table and the mirror will look wonderful when repainted. Cheers!

Hi Anna, as a devoted reader of your blog you have inspired me to undertake a course in interior design. I was wondering if you'd be interested in doing a 'day or week in the life of an interior designer" to give those not in the business a taste of what you do day to day.
